Angela Chicowero

A Bit about Me

Angela Chikowero is an Open Access and STEM Collection Strategist at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) Library. She earned her Masters in Library and Information Science in 2010 from Dalhousie University, Canada, with a thesis on the effects of cognitive style and curiosity on multitasking. Angela is currently in the Doctoral program for Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Kansas (KU). She is also a Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) Open Education Leadership Fellow since 2021.


Angela has worked in academic libraries for over ten years. Angela’s research interests include information access and diversity, higher education leadership, and student success.
