Our community can truly help make college the best part of your life. UC Santa Barbara is a residential campus where 80% of our students live within a mile of Storke Tower, the center of campus. This creates a strong sense of shared purpose, as most of your classmates will also be your neighbors. As just one example, the Black community on campus is highly supportive and closely knit. It’s where many long lasting relationships begin.
