Francesca Mccants

Hi my name is Francesca Mccants and I am a senior here at UCSB, currently majoring in Sociology and minor in Black Studies. I'm a very warm hearted person that loves to meet new people and just live in the moment. I love spending time with my friends and family. Life is short and each day is never guaranteed so we have to make the best of each day. I enjoy modeling, traveling, trying new things and pursuing my path in cosmetology. I have traveled around the world and have been to Paris, Turks and Caicos, Haiti, Costa Rica, Mexico and so much more.

As for cosmetology, I currently have my own business Pink Paradise where I enjoy showcasing all my hairstyles i've done and putting smiles on all my clients' faces. I also happen to host my own radio show alongside my best friend (Black Girl Magic) here at UCSB FM 91.9 in Santa Barbara and I currently serve as the External Needs Advocate on the board of the Women's Health Collaborative. One of the biggest things that I represent is inclusivity and unity hence why I created the Caribbean Student Association. I wanted to create a space for not only Caribbean students but all students who don't feel seen or heard on campus. I created a space where everyone feels welcomed no matter if you are Caribbean or not.
