Shemaiah Nesbeth

Hi! My name is Shemaiah Nesbeth. I am a Senior here at UCSB, currently pursuing a degree in Sociology while also minoring in Black Studies and Applied Psychology. I enjoy spontaneous adventures, trying new things, photography, swimming, event planning, and spending quality time with friends, family, and community among other things. I also host my very own radio show with my best friend called Black Girl Magic on KCSB FM 91.9 and hold the Sex Positive Health Director position on the board of the Black Women’s Collaborative. Additionally, I’m very big on hospitality which goes hand in hand with inclusion if you ask me and those two are the reasons I decided to join Caribbean Student Association. I believe that unity and inclusion are some of the most important factors in trying to create change within this world. Fortunately, I have found these moral frameworks within the Caribbean Student Association whose mission is unity always and forever. There is a home for everyone in CSA and that is why I decided to join the board.
