Premiere of 'Homage to Swing'.

The four movement symphony, which represents the merging of swing with traditional symphonic design, is the final work on Swinging to a World of Strings, an inter-departmental orchestra concert programmed by Professor Cheryl L. Keyes to highlight world music traditions.

The concert, Keyes wrote, “celebrates culture and commemorates those musical bards who have left an indelible impression on how we listen, dance, and groove to music from around the globe.”
