Project Prose is the creation of a poetry book to be written, illustrated, and published by May of 2024. This project was created by Journee Hazelitt and endorsed by the Office of Black Student Development.

Do you have something to get off your chest? Want a chance to tell your story and show off your talent?

Prompt: Transition/change

We want the poetry to come from you and whatever it is that you are feeling or want to talk about so there aren’t many requirements except that it has to connect to something that has changed whether that be feelings, relationships, mindset, location, time, etc. This also doesn't have to be a positive change/change for the better. Write what YOU want. (We do want submissions from the black community but your poem does not have to revolve around your race unless you want it to. We want to hear about YOUR experience, whether that is the "black experience" or not.)

Finances
The book will be sold, profits will be split between all writers featured in the book.
